At MX Masterclass, we provide exceptional weekly acting training in London for young performers aged 10 to 15, designed specifically to give our students an understanding of the core principles of acting with certain sessions geared towards acting for camera technique.
Our students engage in dynamic, practical sessions that develop their confidence and refine their skills, including audition techniques, character development, and scene work with their classmates. Guided by our experienced industry mentors, they receive invaluable feedback in the room as well as through playback and analysis of any screen work, helping them grow as performers. With a nurturing and inclusive approach, we prepare aspiring actors for exciting opportunities in theatre, television and film.

A prep session and warm-up to sharpen your mind and free the instrument (you!)
1-hour technique class:
Covering different acting techniques to hone your craft.
1-hour scene work: Putting the technique you learn into practice by reading, studying and analysing scenes.
On certain weeks you’ll work with different industry guests like casting directors who you can create professional connections with.

Becoming an Emmy introduces you to a bunch of like-minded friends, who often become life-long friends beyond their Sunday classes.

LOVE, RESPECT & POSITIVITY
These are the three words that best describe the ethos of MXM and the way our teachers and students conduct themselves.
LOVE – We take care of each other. We celebrate our successes and support our ‘failures’ – although Michael doesn’t believe there is such a thing as failure in performance.
RESPECT – We respect each other. Both the teachers and the students share an equal respect. There is no pecking order – we are all there to learn from the best and the teachers value how much they also learn from our students. Teachers act as mentors to guide students gently in their training. There’s no shouting in our studios!
POSITIVITY – We remain as positive as we can in our training, taking the lessons learned from each week no matter how big or small. The glass is always half full at MXM!

MX Acting is a weekly masterclass in acting. We cover all things acting to give the young performers the ability to tackle anything within the industry.
Students on the MX Musical Theatre course have been asking us over the years a load of questions relating to the tv and film industry like “how do I audition?” or “how do I act differently on screen to stage?” and even “what they should be doing to shoot a self tape?”
We decided we had TOO MUCH INFORMATION to share and so have created this new and exciting course for young actors wanting open the door to their tv and film careers!
Each term you will learn scenes and get to shoot them with your classmates. You may then be able to use these scenes as part of a showreel.
We want to show off our students’ greatest abilities to the world.
