Terms & Conditions

Information for Parents and Guardians

MX Masterclass aims to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for every child and young person. To help us provide a quality service, please note the following important information:

• All questions on the medical/diet/needs form must be completed and submitted by the parent/guardian before any child takes part.
• Parents/guardians must ensure that any changes to the information given on the form are notified to MX Masterclass.
• Parents/guardians must make their own arrangements for children going to and leaving the session. MX Masterclass is not responsible for children outside their session times, so please ensure your child arrives and departs at the appropriate times.
• MX Masterclass cannot take responsibility for any damaged clothing and/or personal items during the activity. Please ensure your child does not have anything on them that should remain dry and protected.
• Please ensure your child has sufficient water, food, clothing and medication (where appropriate) for the duration of their session.

MX Masterclass Limited – Terms and Conditions

1. These terms and conditions apply to all MX Masterclass courses — currently Musical Theatre, MX Acting, Secrets Of Acting and MX Minis (each, a “Course”) — and to related performances, applied for and consented to by the student, parent or guardian (referred to hereinafter as ‘student’). Changes to these terms and conditions require the written consent of MX Masterclass Limited.
2. Course times and fees are given on the website www.mxmasterclass.com and in the acceptance email. A successful applicant will only be deemed to have been accepted onto a Course once payment of the full Course fee, or the applicable deposit, has been received. This establishes a contract for the provision of teaching services. Receipt of payment will be confirmed by email. Current Course fees are as follows:

3. Methods of payment. Stripe (Credit/Debit Card) or PayPal will be accepted as valid methods of payment. Card payments made other than via the website mxmasterclass.com cannot be accepted.
4. Cancellation and Refunds

4.1. Where a student wishes to cancel their place on a Course, MX Masterclass Limited. must be informed in writing before the start of the third week of term. Termination will only be accepted when received by MX Masterclass Limited in writing.

4.2. Where written notice is received before the start of the third week of term:

• a student who has paid the full Course fee will be entitled to a refund of half the Course fee, as set out in the table above;
• a student who has paid a smaller deposit instead of the fee in full will not receive any refund — the deposit paid is retained by MX Masterclass Limited in full.

4.3. No refund of any kind — whether of the Course fee or a deposit — will be given for cancellations notified on or after the start of the third week of term, or where no written notice is given.

4.4. Where a student continues at MX Masterclass beyond their initial term, the contract automatically continues for the following term unless it is terminated in writing before the end of the current term, in which case the contract will expire at the end of that term. Termination will only be accepted when received by MX Masterclass Limited in writing.

5. MX Masterclass Limited reserves the right to exclude students at any time from a Course at its discretion. MX Masterclass Limited will not tolerate unacceptable behaviour.
6. MX Masterclass Limited reserves the right to terminate this contract (including a scholarship) at the end of each term. In this case, any deposit or fees paid in advance by the student for the next term will be refunded in full.
7. Absentees: We operate a 3-strike rule. During the Autumn and Spring terms, each student is allowed to be absent for up to 2 days per term (unless an official doctor’s note is provided). During the Summer term, each student cannot miss more than 2 days of term. MX Masterclass Limited has the right to terminate a student’s place on a Course if this is exceeded.
8. Care of each student outside of Course and performance hours is the responsibility of the parent/guardian.
9. The decisions of the Director, Principal and/or guest teaching staff are final and shall not be contested in any way.
10. MX Masterclass Limited reserves the right to make changes to the timetable and to the teaching staff.
11. Fees are reviewed annually during the summer holiday for the September term, but changes may be implemented before any of the three terms.
12. In the event of a Course session being cancelled (for example, in cases of extreme weather), MX Masterclass Limited will endeavour to make up the class on another date. Refunds will not be available to students who cannot attend the makeup date, and refunds will not be given to any student who misses a week of their Course.
13. Students participate at their own risk and are obliged to inform MX Masterclass Limited and its staff of any existing injuries or medical conditions.
14. Students are obliged to take care of their own belongings. MX Masterclass Limited cannot accept any liability for lost or damaged belongings during classes and/or performances at any of the allocated venues.
15. The liability of MX Masterclass Limited and that of its staff is restricted to Course and performance time only, and then only in respect of gross negligence.
16. Parents/guardians consent to the publication of their child’s photographs and/or video footage (taken during Courses and/or performances) for use on our website www.mxmasterclass.com or other MX Masterclass publicity material only.
17. All complaints to MX Masterclass Limited about a Course will be taken very seriously and followed up with a thorough investigation.

Privacy Policy

Any personal information provided to MX Masterclass Limited will be processed in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, for the purposes of administration, research, the provision of teaching services in singing, dance and drama, the organisation of performances, and the administration of MX Masterclass Limited’s statutory obligations under legislation relating to children. MX Masterclass Limited will not disclose this information to third parties for marketing purposes. By enrolling with MX Masterclass, you consent to the use of your personal data for the purposes set out above. Online payments made to MX Masterclass Limited are processed securely by Stripe, and the information you provide is communicated in a strongly encrypted format between the payment provider and your bank. MX Masterclass Limited does not directly collect, process or store financial/card information.
