Limited Places Each Term
Small groups mean focused attention and personal feedback
LIMITED SPACES AVAILABLE EACH TERM
Our taster days also act as an informal audition. Children do not need to be polished or experienced to be accepted. What we look for is potential, enthusiasm, imagination, focus and a genuine love for performing. Spaces are limited each term, so early booking is recommended.
- Limited Spaces: We keep places limited so students can receive focused training and personal attention.
- Potential Matters: Students do not need lots of experience, but they should show enthusiasm, creativity and a willingness to learn.
- A Special Training Environment: Accepted students join a supportive group of young performers who are ready to grow, improve and make the most of the opportunity.
OUR STUDENT'S SUCCESS IN FILM & TV
MX Masterclass students have gone on to appear in major films, TV shows and commercials, including projects for Warner Bros, Netflix, the BBC, ITV and HBO. For our younger acting students, success often starts with confidence: the first time they speak clearly in front of a group, create a character, or feel brave enough to try something new on camera.

HOW OUR ACTING TRAINING WORKS FOR KIDS
ACTING & DRAMA
Each Sunday introduces students to acting and drama through practical exercises, scene work and creative performance tasks. Students learn how to explore characters, understand stories and express ideas clearly.
VOICE & EXPRESSION
Acting helps children learn how to use their voice, body and facial expression with confidence. Students develop clearer communication skills while learning how to perform in front of others.
CHARACTER WORK
Students are encouraged to use their imagination to create characters, explore emotions and understand how different people think, move and speak. This helps them become more confident and expressive performers.
CREATIVITY & CONFIDENCE
Every session gives students the chance to try new ideas, take creative risks and build self-belief in a supportive environment. Confidence is developed gradually, with encouragement from experienced teachers.
TEAMWORK & SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT
Drama is a brilliant way for children to develop listening skills, focus, teamwork and resilience. Students learn how to work with others, respond to direction and support their classmates in a creative space.
CONTINUOUS DEVELOPMENT
Each term introduces new exercises, scenes and creative challenges, helping students keep progressing as their confidence, acting technique and performance skills grow.
SCREEN ACTING
Students begin building confidence with skills that support both stage and screen acting, including listening, reacting naturally, using their imagination and expressing emotions clearly. We also give students opportunities to record simple scenes on camera, helping them feel more comfortable performing in front of a lens in a fun and supportive way.

How We Choose Students
TASTER DAY AUDITIONS
Our taster days double as a relaxed, informal audition, a chance to get to know each child and see how they respond in the room. We’re not looking for polish. We’re looking for potential, enthusiasm, creativity, focus and a genuine love of performing. Places are limited each term, so we consider each student carefully before offering one.
OUR ACTING STUDENTS - WE CALL THEM THE EMMY'S
BECOME PART OF THE FAMILY
When you join MXM, you instantly become part of the family. Students affectionately call themselves the “Emmys,” a name they voted for that stuck. Becoming an Emmy introduces your child to a bunch of like-minded friends who often become life-long friends beyond their Sunday classes, plus access to the Emmy Zone, an insider portal of useful MXM info.
Love, Respect & Positivity are the three words behind how our teachers and students work together. We take care of each other and celebrate every success; we share equal respect between students and teachers, with mentors who guide gently and never shout; and we stay positive, taking the lesson from every week no matter how big or small.

QUESTIONS WE GET ASKED ABOUT OUR ACTING COURSE FOR KIDS
These are questions asked by both parents and students looking to join our MX Acting Classes for ages 9-11
Are these acting classes suitable for beginners?
Yes. Many students begin with little or no previous acting experience. Our training focuses on confidence, creativity and strong foundations, helping children feel comfortable as they learn.
Is MX Acting suitable for shy children?
Yes. Acting can be a brilliant way to help shy children build confidence. Students are encouraged gently and supported at a pace that feels right for them.
What will my child learn?
Students will develop acting, drama, storytelling, character work, voice, expression, teamwork and communication skills. They will also build confidence performing in front of others.
Does this prepare my child for screen acting and film?
Yes. The MX Acting course for ages 9-11 helps students build the foundations needed for both stage and screen acting. Through character work, storytelling, scene exercises and camera-based activities, children learn how to listen, respond naturally, express emotion and feel more confident performing in front of others. These skills are a valuable starting point for young performers interested in film, television or acting for camera.
Does my child need previous drama experience?
No. Students do not need previous experience to join. The course is suitable for children who are new to acting, as well as those who already enjoy drama, school plays or performing.
Are the acting classes fun or serious?
They are both. The sessions are fun, creative and encouraging, but students are still guided by professional teachers who help them develop proper acting and performance skills.
Can my child try a class first?
Yes. Students can register for a free taster day before committing to the full course.
